Perm Persaud

Perm began his accounting career in 1998, following the completion of his university degree in political science. He spent the next two years completing the required courses for his CA designation while working as a concierge for the Palace Pier, an upscale condominium in Toronto. In 2000, Perm joined Gardner Zuk Dessen Chartered Accountants, a  Toronto accounting practice, where he worked on a variety of engagements gaining in-depth knowledge of auditing, accounting and taxation of private companies. In 2004, seeking more experience in both Canadian and US public companies, he moved to SF Partnership LLP, a mid-size accounting practice in Toronto.

In 2005, Perm joined the team at Dube & Associates, and in 2006 he became a partner in the firm. During his tenure there, his chief responsibility was to ensure the firm met and exceeded clients’ expectations regarding assurance, accounting and advisory services. Perm remained with Dube & Associates until July 2010 and in September 2010; Perm launched his own firm, Ark Chartered Accountant. In November 2011, Perm restructured the business and it became Ark Accounting & Tax Professional Corporation.

Over the years, Perm has gained valuable experience in a number of industries in both the public and private sectors. These include real estate, automotive, manufacturing, construction, non-profit organizations, mining and development, entertainment, professionals, retail and service businesses.

Perm’s specialty is his dedication to helping clients obtain and understand the financial details from their accounting systems.  He also ensures that creditors and other financial statement users receive the details they need to advance the clients’ businesses.

Perm lives in Kitchener with his wife, Sandra, and their two sons, Alexander and Aden. He enjoys spending his time with family and friends.

His educational background includes:

• York University, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science
• Chartered Accountant, member of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of Ontario

Community Involvement
Since 2001, Perm has assisted in tax clinics sponsored by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the City of Stratford for low-income earners and seniors.
